Access Bank enters race to help meet MDGs

Gift From Africa, a new fund launched to tackle HIV/AIDS, Malaria and tuberculosis, should help make progress toward achieving the eight Millennium Development Goals by 2015, collaborators say. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, chief executive at donor Access Bank in Lagos, Nigeria, spoke to AlertNet about the new venture, which was inspired by the Global Fund, at the Harvard Club in New York while attending an a side event at the United Nations Development Goals Summit. — Julie Mollins, New York, 20/9/10
