Thanks for your question. I’m not a doctor and cannot give you medical advice, but our physicians say most people don’t experience any unique HIV symptoms. A person may experience a flu like illness. In very advanced cases, some people experience weight loss, dry cough, fever, extreme fatigue, swollen lymph glands, diarrhea, pneumonia or bruise like discolorations under the skin or in the eyes, mouth, or nose. However, all of these symptoms can also be caused by non-HIV related conditions.
Can you cite any studies that show that HIV is transmitted sexually?
